Put those Manolo Blahniks and cosmopolitans on standby (well, you can drink the cosmos now, but be prepared to possibly make more), because you might need them for a Sex and the City 3 viewing party!
Sarah Jessica Parker revealed during an interview for InStyle magazine’s latest issue that Carrie Bradshaw, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda may be reuniting on the big screen for one last film. “A part of me thinks there is one last chapter to tell,” the cover star said.
“But timing is a peculiar thing. It isn’t a decision that can wait forever. I don’t want to have to wear muumuus!”
And SJP isn’t just thinking out loud.
Kristin Davis recently shared that there are talks going on about whether or not there will be another installment of the famous HBO series in theaters.
“I don’t think [a third film] is a pipe dream, there is discussion. People talk about it amongst the people who are the players, but I don’t know if it will come together. It would be very exciting if it did,” she told Haute Living magazine in its December issue.
However, costar Cynthia Nixon didn’t exactly have the same enthusiasm. The actress shot down the idea of a third Sex and the City movie by stating, “I think it’s fine to let it go.” (We’ll never let go, Cynthia. Never.)
When hearing of Nixon’s opinion on the whole theory, Davis responded, “I’m going to have a little talk with Cynthia the next time I see her!”

Sarah Jessica Parker Teases Possible Sex and the City Reunion: “There Is One Last Chapter to Tell”
For our February cover story, on newsstands Friday, the one and only Katie Couric interviewed Sarah Jessica Parker—and had a blast doing it! Over a light meal (Parker had yellowtail sashimi; Couric tea), the two talked about Parker’s new shoe line for Nordstrom, SJP, Katie’s upcoming wedding, the challenges of being a woman in charge, and the possible resurrection of SATC‘s Carrie (yes please!). The interview reads like a casual, intimate chat between two BFFs—perhaps because they are, in fact, longtime pals. What did Couric enjoy most about her time with her good friend? Lots of things, but these are her top four:
1. “I love that she isn’t afraid to leave the house without a stitch of makeup.” When Parker arrived for their lunch date, she told her friend, “Today I look a little raggedy. I was taking the subway and picking up the kids from school.” To which Couric replied, “You look comfortable.”
2. “When you have a conversation with her she really listens.” In fact, Couric writes that Parker is “even more interested in you than showing how interesting she is.”
3. “She’s unfailingly polite.” The first thing Parker tells her good friend? “Why do you look so good? I guess because you’re happy. You look so great!”
4. “There’s nothing manufactured about her or her image.” In the February issue, Parker tells Couric how she chooses clothes because she responds to them, not in the hopes of landing on some best-dressed list (though she often does). “So I think pulling it off or not puling it off, that almost doesn’t exist for me because, really, I’m looking for experiences, not some report card,” she said.)
For more of Couric’s interview with the actress, pick up the February issue of InStyle, available on newsstands and for digital download Friday, Feb. 10.
And be sure to follow Couric (@katiecouric) and Parker (@SJP) (and InStyle!) on Twitter!
Sarah Jessica has yet again graced the cover of “InStyle” magazine! She is featured on the February 2014 issue this time. You can check out a sneak peek of the cover below, as well as snippets from the interview. She looks beautiful, doesn’t she? Magazine scans will be uploaded soon, as well as the photoshoot. Enjoy!
Sarah Jessica Parker is colorful as can be in a Prada dress on the cover of InStyle magazine’s February 2014 issue, on newsstands Friday.
Here’s what the 48-year-old actress had to share with the mag:
On age appropriate fashion: “People should dress the way they want. Any rules for age or shape are silly. If you walk out the door feeling good about yourself, that’s what counts.”
On her words to live by: “The Golden Rule – do unto others as you would have them do unto you – that’s my religion, my dogma. As soon as my son could recite it back, I’d repeat it to him.”
On her success: “The real success happened after I was grown, and that saved me. I was appreciative of all of it, and continue to be – my gosh. I don’t think my success has ever defined me; it’s just this thing that I carry around and then shepherd in a hopefully graceful way, you know?”
On a possible Sex and the City reunion: “A part of me thinks there is one last chapter to tell. But timing is a peculiar thing. It isn’t a decision that can wait forever. I don’t want to have to wear muumuus!”
FYI: Sarah Jessica is also wearing David Yurman earrings and Fred Leighton bracelets.
As mentioned at the end of February, Sarah Jessica is releasing her own show line exclusively in Nordstorm stores. Below you can catch the first look of her show line. Click on the image to make it larger. It is featured in the February 2014 issue of “Lucky” magazine. So be sure to pick up the copy. I’ll hopefully have the scan in the gallery soon.
There has been plenty of buzz in the press concerning Sarah Jessica Parker’s upcoming footwear line, named SJP, but zero images of the shoes. No matter, all is forgiven and forgotten thanks to the first look at the line in the new issue of Lucky. Pictured is a single shoe—as single as Carrie was when Aidan found out she was cheating on him with Big. Zing.
Still, it’s pretty clear from the image that Manolo Blahnik was a huge inspiration. In fact, it looks somewhat similar to those Mary Jane Manolos from the Urban Shoe Myth scene in the Vogue closet. Perhaps that’s to be expected when you partner with George Malkemus, the longtime CEO at Manolo Blahnik, on a footwear project. The full range will land at the end of February in Nordstrom stores and retails for between $200 to $400 $195 to $485 with most prices falling in the $350 to $400 range.
DOT429 LAUNCHES NATIONAL GLOSSY MAGAZINE
This fall, celebrated online media company dot429 will launch FourTwoNine, a new quarterly lifestyle magazine that will explore the worlds of celebrity, politics, and business while presenting its readers with an editorial mix of art, culture, and fashion.
Sarah Jessica Parker and Andy Cohen grace the cover of the first issue, the theme of which is “Friendship.” Parker and Cohen candidly talk about their own twenty-year friendship, their successes, and their families. FourTwoNine’s editors give us access to seven additional conversations between friends, including Justin Vivian Bond and John Cameron Mitchell; Max Mutchnik and his husband, Erik Hyman; Calvin Trillin and Larry Kramer; and Thom Browne and Andrew Bolton.
Helmed by Editor in Chief Kevin Sessums, formerly a contributing editor at Vanity Fair and executive editor at Andy Warhol’s Interview magazine, and publisher Richard Klein, founder and former publisher of Surface magazine, the launch issue will feature articles by Salman Rushdie, Michael Cunningham, Amy Fine Collins, Carrie Rickey, Brendan Lemon, Steven Thrasher, Henry Alford, Mark Jacobs and Helen Eisenbach. Mark Doty, a National Book Award winner, will publish three new poems in the premiere issue. Other contributors include photographers Ruven Afanador, Christian Witkin, Torkil Gudnason, and Stewart Shining as well as illustrator Robert Risko. Also appearing in the issue are artist David Hockney and artist and model Casey Legler.
“FourTwoNine is going to appeal to a broad and engaged readership,” says Sessums. “If I owned a car, I’d have as my bumper sticker ‘Never Judgmental, Always Discerning.’ I am hoping that that also describes our readership. I know it describes my editorial philosophy. While the magazine was created for an LGBT audience, it focuses on subjects we think our readers will find interesting, not just LGBT content. That’s only one facet of who we are as people, and I think that will be only one facet of what we are as a magazine.”
Cartier, Calvin Klein, Marc Jacobs, Armani A/X, Ralph Lauren, and Piaget are some of the brands supporting FourTwoNine in its premiere issue with ad placements. The first print run of 85,000 copies will be sent to FourTwoNine subscribers and sold on newsstands throughout the country through Comag for a cover price of $12.99.
“We wanted to create something that was both aspirational and inspirational,” says Klein. “FourTwoNine is a magazine about some of the world’s most interesting people. Timing seemed perfect for the launch; we created our digital property, dot429.com, three years ago and have built a strong following. That bodes well for the reception of the magazine.”
FourTwoNine will premiere on September 12 at the Fashion Institute of Technology’s A Queer History of Fashion: From the Closet to the Catwalk event and will feature in its first issue an eight-page original photo essay by Afanador inspired by the installation. An official launch party will be held the following week at Amy Sacco’s No. 8 in New York City.
2013 Magazine updates
Hey guys, I’ve caught up in uploading 2013 magazine images of Sarah in the gallery. She’s on the cover of next months Harpers Bazaar so go and check those out!
Her iconic Sex and the City character Carrie Bradshaw may have been comfortable regularly dishing on her relationship woes and triumphs, but in real life, Sarah Jessica Parker prefers to remain mum about her personal life. In the September 2013 issue of Harper’s Bazaar, however, the actress confesses that she couldn’t be happier with the life that she’s created with husband Matthew Broderick — (mostly) out of the spotlight.
“I love Matthew Broderick. Call me crazy, but I love him,” she says of her husband of 16 years. “We can only be in the marriage we are. We’re very devoted to our family and our lives. I love our life. I love that he’s the father of my children, and it’s because of him that there’s this whole other world that I love.”
The couple, who tied the knot in May 1997, have three children together — son James Wilke, 10, and twin daughters Tabitha and Loretta, 4.
The 48-year-old actress, who next appears in the Off-Broadway show The Commons of Pensacola opposite Gwyneth Paltrow’s mother Blythe Danner, explains that for both herself and Broderick, 51, keeping their personal lives private has always been important.
“Matthew and I come from a different time and place,” she says of the actors’ humble beginnings. “When we were young people, all we ever wanted was to be good working actors. We didn’t think of fame or money because, honestly, money was never part of the dream.”
“I never saw the trappings; nobody talked about being a celebrity,” she adds. “People have asked me about my marriage, ‘How do you make it work, and I say, ‘We don’t talk about it.’ That’s not really true. It’s sort of a nasty response.”
Parker’s indifference to celebrity even extends into her own pop culture icon status, she says.
“I don’t think I’ve ever spent 10 minutes calculating my image,” the fashion icon tells the publication. “I can’t even recall a conversation.”

Sarah Jessica Parker: Shoe line is ‘so exciting’
Sarah Jessica Parker says her new SJP shoe line is ”so exciting” and reveals that she approached Manolo Blahnik CEO George Malkemus with the idea.
Sarah Jessica Parker says her new shoe line is ”so exciting”.
The ‘Sex and the City’ actress has teamed up with George Malkemus, the CEO of Manolo Blahnik – the luxury shoe brand her iconic Carrie Bradshaw character was known for loving – for the new SJP shoe range, and Sarah is thoroughly enjoying the creative process of designing her own footwear.
She gushed to Harper’s Bazaar magazine: ”The shoe business is so exciting because we don’t have to think of black and brown as the only neutrals anymore.”
The actress’ colourful shoe line will feature bold colours like navy and mocha, feminine shapes and low cut heels, according to the magazine.
Sarah, 48, also revealed that she was the one who approached George with the idea of launching her own shoe line after fielding offers from major designers for fashion collaborations.
George added: ”She has a fan base in the fashion world that’s extraordinary, and it’s truly because she’s such a nice person. Were it anyone but Sarah Jessica, I wouldn’t have done it.”
The actress previously had her own clothing range, Bitten, and worked for free as creative director of Halston, but says the experience didn’t go smoothly.
She explained: ”We’ve all worked with complicated people and I always think that I can disarm them. I love collaborating. I’m a great listener and learner, and I don’t think I know more than they do. I’m transparent.”
Sarah’s SJP shoe line – which will range in price from $250 to $450 – will be available in Nordstrom stores in the US from February 2014.
