Vogue India February 2010

Looks as if Sarah is the cover of India’s Vogue for February. If anyone could get scans, that would be great! The cover is just a reprint, unfortunately, so no new photoshoot 🙁 Honestly, I like the Glamour issue better. What do you think?

Upcoming Magazine News: Marie Claire

There is talk of the four SATC ladies will each be doing separate covers of Marie Claire like last time. Can’t wait to see them! Check it out:

The women of “Sex and the City” are doing separate Marie Claire covers once again, so we couldn’t help but wonder: Is there drama among the fabulous foursome?

A source tells us no, it’s purely a creative decision – and not because Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis wouldn’t pose together.

“[Marie Claire] did this for the ‘Sex and the City’ movie and had great success,” says the insider. “It was a really great creative scheme, so it makes sense to do it again.”

So what about all the rumors of catfights and larger-than-life egos? Not true, says our source – in fact, “the four of them have been getting along the best they have been in years.”

Most recently, Nixon and Cattrall attended the NYC premire of Parker’s “Did You Hear About the Morgans?” Plus, filming on location in Morocco for “SATC 2” strengthened their ties. Says the insider: “They had a blast there, so there would be no problem shooting the cover with the four of them together.”

Cover Alert! Glamour (US) January 2010

I meant to post this yesterday, but I didn’t have the time, so sorry for the delay! Sarah is going to be on the cover of Glamour next month! The shoot looks gorgeous. Doesn’t it feel weird to say 2010? 😉 Anyways check it out:

GLAMOUR: You’re promoting your new film, Did You Hear About the Morgans? Why did you want this role?

SARAH JESSICA PARKER: In all sincerity, Hugh Grant. I did do a movie with him years ago [1996’s Extreme Measures]. I don’t recall any real interaction with him, because I was working on a play in New York and would fly to do my scenes and fly right back. I understand that I allegedly played opposite him. [Laughs.]

GLAMOUR: So let’s get to your next film project: Sex and the City 2. How has Carrie evolved?

SJP: The first movie had a lot of sadness in it, and it was very brave about breaking the rules of romantic comedy. This one is very much the antidote for that: It’s a romp. It’s about the idea of women’s and men’s roles in marriage, and old traditions versus new ones. The story is really fun, but it’s also about something.

GLAMOUR: The married couple you and Hugh play in The Morgans is going through a rough patch. What’s the most important ingredient for getting through a tough spot in a marriage?

SJP: I never really talk about this because too many [people] speculate about my marriage, anyway!

GLAMOUR: Well, I think movies present a romanticized ideal of love. But you don’t get to see what happens after the film ends. What does love look like once you’ve been in a long-term relationship?

SJP: I think when you are younger, you get swept away by grand gestures…. When you have children and years invested, it’s much more complicated. It’s the day-to-day stuff: the kind of parent you are, the kind of partner you are. It’s the little and big things as opposed to just the big things. But you are not meant to know that when you are younger, so I don’t think anybody should regret the choices they made in their twenties.

Cover Alert! Elle (US) December 2009

There is a new cover alert for our Sarah, and she looks gorgeous as always. She will be featured on the cover of Elle’s December issue, probably promoting Did You Hear About the Morgans? The magazine will hit newsstands soon, and I will hopefully be able to get scans for the site. For now, enjoy these images. Hopefully more will come soon! 🙂

On rumors of friction with Sex and the City co-star Kim Cattrall: “I don’t think anybody wants to believe that I love Kim. I adore her. I wouldn’t have done the movie without her. Didn’t and wouldn’t.”

On her decision to use a surrogate to carry her twins: “I knew there would be lots of opinions about, ‘Well, why didn’t you adopt? Why didn’t you do this? Why didn’t you do that?’ and the truth of the matter is, it wasn’t one or the other for us. We had explored, and continue to explore all options, and this one just happened first. This isn’t the period at the end of the sentence.”

On being a hands-on mom: “I love the smell of diapers; I even like when they’re wet and you smell them all warm liked a baked good. I love the smell of Balmex. Love it.”

Entertainment Weekly Article

You can now read the article of Sarah and Hugh Grant on Entertainment Weekly’s Website. We have posted it here for your entertainment pleasures. If you have this issue and wouldn’t mind scanning it for us, please leave a comment. I am trying to find the issue, but for some reason I can not. Hopefully we will have scans soon.

EW: Sarah Jessica, this is the third film director Marc Lawrence and Hugh have worked on together. Was there any hazing involved when you entered the picture?

Sarah Jessica Parker They were very hospitable. If there was a hazing process, it was very subtle.
Hugh Grant She was allowed to eat lunch at the same table, but not [right next to us].
Parker And certainly not the same quality of food. That’s true. I also had to call him Mr. Grant for a long time. But I liked that.
Grant Yes! Or ”sir.”

EW: Everyone has on-set quirks. What are yours?

Grant She likes to be doing her BlackBerry all the time. During takes. I’ve never seen BlackBerrying like it.
Parker Yours was smaller, so it was less obvious.
Grant I need to be cheered up, but she’s very good at that. I’m Mr. Grumpy Pants. She’s never grumpy. Except that one day she got grumpy.
Parker Hugh sets the table like, ”I’m grumpy. I’m difficult. I’m gloomy. I’m bitter.” Maybe bitter is not a word you use…
Grant Actually not. Thank you.
Parker I don’t think any of it is true. You’re the guy who says, ”I’m bad at Trivial Pursuit” and then wins. ”I don’t know anyone’s names,” and then he goes and tests me to see how many crew members’ names I know — and he knows just as many. He lived up to and far exceeded my hopes and dreams.
Grant It’s very nice to hear it from her. I’m very proud of liking her because I don’t like anyone. I’m also very proud of respecting her because there are very few people I respect. In New Mexico [where they were filming Morgans] I would watch Sex and the City every night and call her and say, ”I love this episode!”

EW: Sarah Jessica, does it feel strange to be thinking about this movie when you’re so immersed in being Carrie Bradshaw again?

Parker This is so much more relaxing. I feel in some way I know this situation better than whatever madness we’ve been experiencing on the streets for the last 10 days. There’s just so much peripheral stuff with that movie.

EW: You mean the paparazzi around Sex and the City?

Parker It drives me crazy. It’s just very hard to get a day’s work done and concentrate. But, you know, what are you gonna do?
Grant All of New Mexico was completely pap-free.

EW:How else was filming in New Mexico different?

Grant I was so charmed by the middle of America. I’d never seen anyone in a cowboy hat. I was fascinated. And I thought we both handled Bart [the bear] very well.
Parker We were told not to look into Bart’s eyes.
Grant All you saw was death. Evil and death.

EW: Ever want to be one of those actors who bans crew members from looking in your eyes?

Parker I’ve wanted to say that.
Grant I’m very interested in Sarah Jessica’s eyes.

EW: How would you and the crew amuse yourselves out there when not filming?

Grant Assassin. Fantastic game. It goes on for days.
Parker You were given a Polaroid of the person you’re meant to kill, and when you kill them you get the Polaroid of their intended victim. The first day at lunch Hugh killed three people within the first 10 minutes. And then I think you were killed.
Grant Yes, I was. It was an orgy of blood. She was killed by a [crew member] who used to be special ops in Afghanistan.

EW: And yet you were still able to complete the movie.

Grant There’s a kind of hysteria that comes with a lack of sleep. We got quite giggly. [Costar] Mary Steenburgen is the most appalling giggler.
Parker It is unbelievable. Her first day!
Grant It’s vaguely funny for the crew the first time you crack up during a take. By the 15th take they want to kill you because they want to go home.
Parker [Jokingly] We smoked a lot of pot right before that scene.
Grant We smoked a lot of pot.

New Entertainment Weekly Cover!

Sarah is on the cover of the most recent Entertainment Weekly! She looks stunning as always. I will try to head out later and pick up a copy so that I can scan it for you guys, but for now, read a little about it:

But we’ve saved the best for first, as the entire package leads off with a ridiculously delightful Q&A with Did You Hear About the Morgans? stars Sarah Jessica Parker and Hugh Grant. During the candid chat, Grant explains his affection for his co-star, in his own unique way: “I’m very proud of liking her because I don’t like anyone. I’m also very proud of respecting her because there are very few people I respect. In New Mexico [where they were filming Morgans] I would watch Sex and the City every night and call her and say, ‘I love this episode!’” Speaking of Sex and the City, Parker laments all the extra attention that the paparazzi brings to every SATC shoot: “It drives me crazy. It’s just very hard to get a day’s work done and concentrate. But, you know, what are you gonna do?” Parker and Grant also reveal that when not shooting film on Morgans, the cast and crew were shooting something else — toy guns, in a friendly game of Assassin. Explains Parker: “You were given a Polaroid of the person you’re meant to kill and when you kill them you get the Polaroid of their intended victim. The first day at lunch Hugh killed three people within the first 10 minutes. And then I think you were killed.” Grant: “Yes, I was. It was an orgy of blood. She was killed by a [crew member] who used to be special ops in Afghanistan.”
