Looks like Sarah will not be attending the Sex and the City 2 premiere, all for a good cause 😉
Sarah Jessica Parker may be missing the premiere of “Sex and the City 2” — and it’s not because the actress is too busy or has better things to do.
Carrie Bradshaw’s alter ego has donated her tickets to the event to the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transsexual) cause in an auction for $11,000! Hollywood Life reports that the tickets were auctioned off at the Human Rights Campaign’s 9th annual gala at NYC’s Waldorf Astoria Hotel on Feb. 6.
Sarah Jessica was not the only star on hand at the event who took part in the auction. “Ugly Betty” star Michael Urie auctioned off a dinner date with himself (kisses included!). “Real Housewives of New York City” mother hen Jill Zarin and “Project Runway” mentor Tim Gunn donated a joint day of lunch and shopping to the highest bidder.
Jill was introduced as “the LGBT community’s favorite housewife” and kicked off the event by expressing her support of the cause. “I can’t stand the fact the LGBT Americans are still being treated like second class citizens,” she declared, garnering cheers and applause from the crowd.
The lucky bidder who snagged the “SATC 2” tickets will have to wait until the Spring to check out the premiere, but we’re sure they are already planning their fabulous outfit!
